Sushi Station Fuji Restaurant, Perth
Before starting off this post… a big Happy Birthday to my dearest ♥, WY! I hate missing my love one’s birthday, but… oh well he understands. I don’t want to sound like I’m making too many excuses for missing his birthday.
Alright… this is one back-dated post of catching with friends and some food review (well… not really). I think this was 2 weekends ago… Did some catching up with friends and met some ‘new’ ones. What I meant by new friends – I may have seen some before but don’t know them personally. It was definitely a good and ‘chilly’ night of catching-up dinner, remembering of that night was pretty cold after a week long of rain.
What’s for dinner? JAP FOOD! Screaming loudly in my head, I was longing for a decent + authentic Japanese food and am glad that someone actually mentioned and made plans for it! Thanks Carl and King! The restaurant is small… and does have a cozy, traditional seating of a real Japanese restaurant. It’s hard to visualize with words put here without the images. My bad… I shall do a proper review again the next time I visit. At least, in my mind I know where to hunt for a quick fix of Jap food crave. Haha!
BUT… I do have some previews of food that we had. Tadaa…!

(From L – R) Assorted sashimi (variety of fresh raw seafood), Yukke (seasoned raw sliced beef+egg+apple slices), Sukiyaki (Japanese style steamboat with miso-base soup), Shabu-shabu (similar to Sukiyaki but with clear soup+dipping sauce for meat)
And of course, can’t leave behind the good company of friends.

Big thumbs up to the 2 organizers (you know who you are!) for this yummy dinner!

Some Randoms
This is just a random post… where just one of the days I feel like doing the below…

It may be what it seems like the ‘Doing the Karen Cheng‘ thing… but I’m just doing for my own fun. My style? Comfy casual. I like to be comfortable in what I wear. Who doesn’t? I guess they may be some minorities who dress to ‘kill’! But not me. I’m just being me. =)
Hey! Check out my winter snuggles!

Thanks to my mom, I don’t have to worry about having cold feet now! I literally run around the house with these. Hehe! Then again, pink is not my color… but heck! This is warm and comfy. Wee~

Previously…
In the midst of stress to finish my last group assignment with Lisa and another member, some jokes burst… just right out!
In Lisa’s words: At the spur of the moment – in excitement + jakun-ness, Lisa calls it ‘goldfish’. In reality its ‘koi’.
YouTube - watch Duck Feed Fish
Lisa: “Eh Cheryl… come see this!”
Me: (runs to comp)
Lisa: “The baby duck feeding goldfish!”
Me: (stares at Lisa and comp back and forth) “Goldfish?!”
Lisa: “Eh! No No! It’s Koi!!!”
Me: (burst out laughing) LOL!
To my dear “tou dai”, Dektos… I have missions for you during the holidays. Your first mission: Bring Lisa to see goldfish and koi.
Moving on… while editing work on my laptop, I saw Nick online. This was his messenger title: ‘Satu bukit pokok’, which suppose meant to be ‘One Tree Hill’, but instead he put ‘One Hill Tree’.
Me: “Nick… not ’satu pokok bukit’ meh?”
Nick: “Oh ya hor… no wonder it sounds weird. Thanks ar! How come you so smart wan ar?”
Me: (rolled eyes) “……”
Dek, your second mission: Teach Nick some BM and English lesson… or just throw him into kindie. =.=
Had some conversation at one night’s dinner with Lisa, Carol and friends… was looking at the menu where the shop has some ribena drink.
Me: (talking to Lisa, pointing at the ribena drink in the menu) “Eh this reminds me of Williams’ (mamak/ night hawker stall) ribena with lychee. You know Williams’?”
Lisa: (looking weird at the drink I mentioned) “Har… got such drink? I dunno. I not sure which mamak I went to before. I think I went once.”
Me: “Har?! You don’t go mamak wan meh?”
Lisa: (shakes head)
Maybe I exaggerated. But nonetheless, Dek… your third mission: Bring Lisa to Williams’!
In conclusion… *ROFL* XD
