Happy Chrissy & Joyous New Year!

Sushi Station Fuji Restaurant, Perth
Before starting off this post… a big Happy Birthday to my dearest ♥, WY! I hate missing my love one’s birthday, but… oh well he understands. I don’t want to sound like I’m making too many excuses for missing his birthday.
Alright… this is one back-dated post of catching with friends and some food review (well… not really). I think this was 2 weekends ago… Did some catching up with friends and met some ‘new’ ones. What I meant by new friends – I may have seen some before but don’t know them personally. It was definitely a good and ‘chilly’ night of catching-up dinner, remembering of that night was pretty cold after a week long of rain.
What’s for dinner? JAP FOOD! Screaming loudly in my head, I was longing for a decent + authentic Japanese food and am glad that someone actually mentioned and made plans for it! Thanks Carl and King! The restaurant is small… and does have a cozy, traditional seating of a real Japanese restaurant. It’s hard to visualize with words put here without the images. My bad… I shall do a proper review again the next time I visit. At least, in my mind I know where to hunt for a quick fix of Jap food crave. Haha!
BUT… I do have some previews of food that we had. Tadaa…!

(From L – R) Assorted sashimi (variety of fresh raw seafood), Yukke (seasoned raw sliced beef+egg+apple slices), Sukiyaki (Japanese style steamboat with miso-base soup), Shabu-shabu (similar to Sukiyaki but with clear soup+dipping sauce for meat)
And of course, can’t leave behind the good company of friends.

Big thumbs up to the 2 organizers (you know who you are!) for this yummy dinner!

Morning Colors
Despite the cold and rainy week, there is still a short moment of unexpected yet extraordinary scene occured. It really helps to brighten up one’s day and brushes all the moodiness and gloomy feelings away… well at least for that one short moment.
I was and am freezing my ass some mornings when I woke up to get to work. I don’t mind the cold, but I seriously dislike the wet weather happening at the same time. Geez… some Malaysian rain is happening here, plus big strong winds which literally can blow me (who cares if I’m small) or anyone off! Well, my umbrella did flipped for that matter. I am really not enjoying this wet winter. I am wishing it to be over SOON!
That one short moment which took my breath away and helps me start fresh in the morning… well this should happen on a blue Monday but heck! Who cares?! It happened to cheer me up anyway.

It’s a huge rainbow, and a fully-formed one! My little camera-phone can’t take it all of course. But I still managed to have a go with it. This massive rainbow is my first seen fully-formed and clearly visible for up to 15mins. Hah! Superb!

Hoped to seize that moment. But it’s good enough that it actually stayed clear and visible for so long. My walk to the train station and trip to Freo takes me about 10 – 15mins. That’s how long it is… till I reached Freo train station, it started to pour. =_= Meh!
Life Like Sparkles
Little wonders here in Perth during winter…

I’m a Graduate! (again…)
Stepping on stage at Curtin University for 2 seconds of fame… I’m a graduate, again! This time, my sash width is thicker for Graduate Diploma compared to the Bachelor’s one. Hehe! But not as big deal as Masters ler… see the difference here.

This day fells on Valentine’s Day. How sweet for me… but not as sweet as those couples who graduated at the same time and day (I know who… bleh!). At least I still have my lovely mom with me, accompanied by her 2 sisters, which are my aunts from the UK. How cool is that!

Also, guess who came by on that day. It’s the ‘char boh’ who came back to Perth without any notice… Miss Lisa Han! Hehe! I was so happy that she popped by, and I even got my favorite flower – orange Gerbera daisies from her… woo hoo! Thanks thanks! I appreciated very much! *hugs*

That’s how I spent my V’day this year. I wished and still wishing that my darling would be here. Nonetheless, I was congratulated and greeted with much love from his phone call right after the ceremony. Love you my dear!
As for the rest of the first week of CNY, I was super busy and tired driving my mom and aunties around during their visit. It’s rare to have a one big family (cousin’s parents and sister, my mom and 2 aunties) traveling together you know, and we all cramped into the little apartment I stayed in with my cousin… so I appreciated it and it was fun, aside from being tired and squashed in the house. Haha!
SO for now… before I get real into my job huntings (I still do occasional job hunts though), I have one last thing to do… just wait for my next update! Cheers everyone!
