It’s Finally Here!
Presenting… Glay: The Great Vacation album vol. 1!

Now enjoying this great album with 3 CDs and 2 DVDs.
All other updates…. erm… DELAYED! Hahaha! =P
‘Nuff said.
Glay: The Great Vacation album
Long waited… I’ve been a super fan of Glay and despite missed collection of earlier indie-rock albums, I have been collecting their latest albums since I was 13. I was firstly introduce to knowing this great band was from my best buddy, Eric. Thanks to him lending me the Pure Soul album (and regrettably he now lost it), I got hooked ever since.

They have been producing new singles from time to time and albums do come quite slowly… and my preference was towards getting their albums so I can grab hold of all good songs. Scattered singles are actually worth keeping too because of the artistic covers, but that would clearly burn a hole in my pocket (but I do dream of getting them all if I were to be rich!). And… eventually I will make my way to their concerts in Japan! Hah! *starts punching numbers and marking calendars*
Now finally… a whole collection of the latest songs in an album with 3 discs! Plus… it comes with DVD with their music videos in version A and concert footage in version B. Of course I have got my card swiped in getting the version A and to be delivered within 14 days after the release on June 10. I know I will be listening to this over and over and over… and this is only the ‘Vol. 1′. There may be or should be ‘Vol.2′.
WooHoo! Can’t wait! June June June… much happening in that month. *big smiles* Also, waiting for album no.2!
Just one little thing… I don’t really like the ’snake skin’ effect cover. It gives me the chills… snakes… EeeKk!
The Wonder Fingers
You may not know, but this kid – Sungha Jung is a genius with his little fingers playing wonders! Amazingly, he’s only only 12. I presume he started playing guitar sometime in 2005… when he’s known in YouTube, he was just 11. This was in 2007, when I coincidently stumbled across his YouTube page and was totally blown away by his skills and precise clarity in playing. He plays fingerstyle guitar, a style/ technique of guitar playing which to me (a noob in guitar) is the highest of all that you can learn, rather than just plain strumming and picking single notes at a time. He plays the ‘finger picking’ style… by alone he is able to play out an entire song in acoustic.
Me, being the rather emotional kind, felt so touched and amazed till my eyes were watery when I see him play. I can’t believe this kid! I am sure there’s plenty amazing kids around with great talents, plus with some styles of his own. But so far, this is one only that I discovered and known of to have such amazing skills and talent. I do respect the veterans in guitar playing and admire this guitarist – Kotaro Oshio, which to me is my favorite. He plays Kotaro’s songs well enough for me to believe it’s Kotaro himself playing! This kid deserves great respect, not just from me the little YouTube audience but too many pro- and amateur guitarists. Hey… he even composed a song! How good is that! Watch it here.
This is a wonder kid… he’ll definitely go far with his loved instrument and his precious little fingers. *Salute*
One of my favorite song from Kotaro… note his little fingers playing wonders.

Landslide
I took my love and I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well, the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life
Well, I’ve been afraid of changin’
Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes bolder
Children get older
And I’m getting older too
Well, I’m getting older too
Lyric from Landslide, by Dixie Chicks
